- Social Security disability insurance (SSDI): Available to people who have paid into the Social Security system through past employment, Social Security disability insurance is there to protect you.
- SSDI application process: By working with an experienced attorney from the start, you can make sure you do everything you can to get your disability benefits.
- SSDI appeals process: If your initial claim for disability benefits has been denied, don't panic. We can help you file an appeal and make sure your disability is properly demonstrated to the board.
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI): With the same medical requirements as SSDI, Supplemental Security Income also has financial requirements. No previous employment history is necessary, however.
- Disabled child benefits: If your child is under the age of 22 and has a serious disability, you could qualify for disabled child benefits to help offset the costs of care.
- Overpayment cases: In some cases, Social Security makes extra payments to you by accident. These can be sticky situations and it helps to have an experienced lawyer on your side.
- Over age 50 claims: The disability requirement standards are different for people over the age of 50. We can help you understand what you need to do to demonstrate your need for benefits.
- Long-term disability: If you suffer from a long-term disability, you may want to seek Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) benefits, in addition to Social Security.
- Court appeals: While many firms will file appeals at the administrative level, we are one of the few firms in the area that will take disability appeals cases to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
